Traveling with CHILDREN? 5 tips to make your trip EASIER

26 nov 2019

Traveling with kids might be for many an incredible challenge, children are unpredictable, have little patience and sometimes are extremely anxious.

Don’t stress! Here we have 5 easy tips, for a very successful, no worrisome trip:

1. Do things calmly

Traveling alone for business is not the same as traveling with your family to a holiday destination.

Because of that you have to take things calmly. Write a list of the things that you must pack, especially for kids. Make sure to take all necessary things with you.

Also remember to arrive early to the airport, to make all the necessary procedures and take all the necessary paperwork and official documents to avoid any mishaps.

2. Never lose sight

Wherever you go never forget that children are usually unaware of the dangers they may encounter when going on a trip.

You can put their full names and contact information on a card or sticker and place this visibly in their clothes. You should also explain what they must do if they feel lost, or if they can’t find you.

It’s important that children can identify the airport staff, security agents or police officers in case they get lost.

3. Pack smartly

We think we need more things than what is really necessary when traveling with kids. Think carefully before choosing an item to put as part of your luggage.

Today we can find and buy almost anything we need at the country we travel to. Consider your budget and try to pack just the essentials.

An excessive amount of luggage plus children is never a good combination, you might lose some of your suitcases, or in the worse scenario, you can lose sight of your kids.

4. Seats on the plane

Some airlines let you choose the seats before your flight. Many recommend when you travel with children to sit on the back of the plane.

The bathrooms are close by, there’s also more space so you can stretch your legs. Also children can have a little more space to walk around.

In other cases the seats are set by the airline at the front section. If you travel with babies, the airline can also provide portable cradles.

Carry some books, games, activities or movies to keep them entertained along the way.

5. Assitance Services

Consider what assistance you might need when abroad. It’s fundamental to have a medical insurance that covers emergencies in case of sickness or an accident.

There are other type of services, depending the destination you are traveling to. Hotels with daycare or special activities for kids, and also nannies.

Some tours are also created and offered as an alternative completely focused on children.
