The coronavirus pandemic brought many changes around the world, also uncertainty and terror in the first months of progress. In Central America, the first cases began to be registered in the last weeks of February and the first weeks of March 2020.

Little by little, the commercial reactivation processes have started in various sectors of the economy, but many still wonder, what will the new dynamics of life be like after COVID-19? These are some positive aspects that we can highlight of this global pandemic:

We must take care of ourselves and others

One of the main positive aspects that this pandemic leaves us is the care that we must maintain from now on when interacting with others. Cleaning and constant sanitization are other factors that we have implemented both in the environment of our home, as in offices, public transport and sectors such as food or shops.

Investigations are moving fast

There are different research programs that focus on prevention, as well as finding effective drugs or treatments. There are currently more than 80 clinical trials to analyze treatments against coronavirus, they are antivirals that have been used for other infections / diseases and are safe. One of those that has been tested in humans is remdesivir, a broad-spectrum antiviral, but its effectiveness against COVID-19 is still under study.

The Vaccine is closer to being approved

There are currently more than eight projects studying a vaccine against the coronavirus, as there are companies and researchers working on vaccines with similar viruses. What can delay its development are the necessary tests of toxicity, side effects, safety and effectiveness in protection. However, there are already different vaccines in the final stages of testing, from countries like China and Russia.

More time to share as a family

With strategies focusing on working from home, today more than ever we spend much more time with our family, although some studies suggested that stress was much higher for employees; many have found incredible benefits. One of them is the saving of time in commute, the reduction in transport costs and even in food.

Most patients recover

The coronavirus does not cause any symptoms or these are mild in 81% of cases. In 14 percent of patients it can cause severe pneumonia and in 5% it can be critical or fatal. There are 13 times more patients cured than deceased. This makes this pandemic one of the least deadly in history.
